Im thinking about buying a 89GXE with digital dash but something is wrong with the dash this is what the guy said to me in an email.

:The dash is out, but comes on when it's warm. The heads up display (part of the dash) came on after the dash was out, but doesn't now unless it's really warm. When the heads up went out cruise control stopped working.

I have a friend that has a ECU/ECM out of an 89 Max. Would just replacing the ecu fix this problem.

I have done a search but all I can find is people who have had theirs rebuilt. Will replacing it fix this problem. Let me know guys thanks.
