OT: James did you get your Paeco catalog yet?? I'm still waiting on mine too...
Yeah sure did and I'm a little irritated. They dont really have anything or give you any more info than their website does.

They told me 'we have a ton of stuff for your VE' and I tried to get specifics/information from them at the time. They told me it was ALL in the catalogue blah blah and that they'd send me one so I can see. I get the catalogue and it doesnt have anything listed for the VE.

Haz the 300zx and some sentra/240 stuff listed along with a ton of Jaguar and other foreign cars, but nothing for the VE. Bastards shoulda just helped me with my specific questions...

Yeah really.....I mean I know they can do anything for any car and it's not like I was expecting them to have anything listed for the VE (I mean who does?). I was expecting it to be custom but then they tell me MY engine is in the catalogue and make me wait 3 weeks. lol Gay.

I just noticed your wheel gap is a little higher than mine. Is this what everyone else with Intrax looks like? My Intrax actually tuck right over the tires or have a 1 finger gap, is it cause of the 18's?

I see, the extra bit of tire does fill it in, I have 235/45 and that is probably why. Looks good though eh? All your pics so far are on my site, I will host them for you.

Hey, top-end, how's that scoop working out for you? I'm planning on putting one in over an in-engine-bay cone filter with a little actuator so I can close it when it rains and open it up on the highway from the cabin... is yours functional? And if it is, any problem with rain?

Or you can just get a Warpspeed Cold Air Intake and call it a day. It makes known power increases and from what I hear most everybody likes them. Pretty cheap too. www.warpspeedperformance.com

Yeah, that would make sense but it'd be kind of neat to have something like that I think.. plus it would be fun to make.

FYI: You gotta remember that 99% of cars are built with an optimistic speedo, at least cars destined for the USA. Many foreign car companies are worried about Americans being sue-happy and liability issues if their speedo reads 65 and they get a ticket for 70, etc. You can see how easy it is for them to decide to build an error into their speedos. A 10% error is not uncommon and wont affect much at normal speeds (60mph = 6mph). But at top speeds, when you're reading 145 or so, that's 14-15mph right there. Some speedos have shown 15% errors. There was a reent article on this in some car magazine not too long ago. Car & Driver tested new stock VE 5spd to hit 138mph I believe it was. They use actual speed derived from expensive equipment and then average a 2 way run to account for winds. so remember if you have the speedo pegged in a VE, you are only going about 135-140mph, unless you are highly modded.

was it scary? i think i'd need to be sitting alot closer to the ground than my STs allow for to feel safe. 146 was pretty scary (for me, the max was solid and felt sure footed).

haha, i know that feeling...135 in a 65(VERY irresponsible, i know) and a car starts cutting across 3 lanes, i'm in the 4th lane asking myself if they're going to keep going or what...i'm not breaking 100 until i upgrade my brakes, thats for sure

about how long did it take you to get to 160+?
any secrets you'd like to tell me about getting more power out of my VE? hit me up on AIM: beakmoney
