MAF Adapter Size?

Whatsup guys? I've got a 4th and 5th gen, but was wondering something. The mass airflow sensor adapter on a third gen...to fit aftermarket filters, is it the same as on the 4th and 5th gens. I know mine are 3" tubing, and the bolt pattern is a 3" square.

The reason I ask, is I know a guy who says he has one off a 94 max, and if it works, he'll let me have it for like 5 bucks. Thing is, its a 45 min drive just to go pick it up. Hate to waste the drive time if it doesn't fit.

I'm looking at one right now off an '89 GXE. Where the MAF bolts to the air cleaner it has a four bolt pattern but it's rectangular. Bolt center to center it is 3 1/2" x 2".

If you want to wait until the 18th in Dallas, I can bring my homemade adaptor and you can compare with that one....

Its cool. I'm off tomorrow morning. I love driving the new 5-speed anyway. Gives me a reason to get out of the house.

See ya on the 18th

Yes it did. With a little drilling of new holes that is. It didn't bolt right up.

The 5th gen MAF sensor --- 3" on 3" bolt pattern
The 4th Gen MAF Senosr --- close to 2.5" on 3.25" bolt pattern
The 3rd gen MAF Sensor --- 3" on 3" bolt pattern.
