More Bose Questions

I'm changing my Bose head unit and speakers and I was thinking of going with infinity 4 x 6 plate speakers for the front and i have some good 6 x 9 Pioneer 4 ways for the back. The speaker manufacturer says I need to get the mounting plate from a Maxima without a Bose system because the 4 x 6 plate speakers wont mount to the Bose speaker mounting. Is this true? Is there anyway around this?
I'm a newbie. I just wrapped up my 300Zx and bought a Maxima, which I love.
Thanx for your help

Did you keep the bose bracket and just remove the speaker or did you remove the whole Bose bracket and mount the speaker directly to the metal of the door?

The hole in the door is huge because the Bose unit is a large plastic box that holds a 4" speaker and amp.

The gxe has a plastic bracket that holds a 4x6 (that mounts in the same hole in the door as the bose does) so you can go to a junk yard and see if you can get the brackets from a gxe without bose.

Or you can make it yourself.
