I think it was a R/T, stick for sure.i tore him a new hole real quick like, what was he thinkin!
I saw a GXE Max chase him after it was over w/ me and him, so i wonder how he was doin' w/ it.(if they were racing),but my VE took that lil' POS in 2nd, no Prob. Makes him wanna think twice about the next Max he tries to Play with!

That's a nice roadkill. Those R/T's are pretty quick. They would most likely beat a 3rd gen GXE well unless the driver can't drive! hehe

I got into it with a Dodge Stratus. from about 75 we gunned it and i slowly walked away from him and so once he had the room he got behind me and he stayed close till about 110, then he just fell back and had nothing left. I burried my speedo about 1-2mph over 125, but then some cars were coming up so i slowed down. My friend in the passagner seat said i still had quite abit of RPM's to go, i was to busy trying not to kill us.
hah

I got a good Neon kill too. Not too sure what model of Neons they were but they were either really souped up or really riced out. One had dual (not true dual) 3" pipes and the other had a 4" and they both sounded like lawn mowers. We took off from the car wash and I smoked both of them getting on the highway. I took 'em both like they were standing still. By the way, they were both sticks. I LOVE MY 5SPD!

Not a Neon roadkill, but.....

at my school there is a ugly purple Neon Espresso(?) with Dual DTM muffler tips that stick out about 6-8" from the rear of the car. one morning while walking through the parking lot I almost hit my shin on the stupid POS!!! makes me sick, 6-8" come on now, do thoughts of overkill ever pass through these peoples minds!!!

Yup, the R/T's can do 14's at the track with few mods. I think they run out of power at high speeds like 80mph+. Are you sure you raced an R/T? They have 2 stripes from the hood to the trunk (usually gray), they also have different wheels and interior. Could have been some neon owner who slapped some R/T badges on and 2 stripes down the middle of their car. Well even if it was an R/T, you still probably could've taken him at high speeds. Just don't race one from a stop!

yeah im pretty sure it was an RT...racing stripes, dual exhaust etc...

my gf and i just talked about it and she remembers there were a few passengers in the car so it was most likely weighted down...of course she was in my car and i had my system.... if it was an RT then i guess it was a good kill...i was just out having some fun on the way home from the Long Island meet...

i've raced a couple of neon r/t's on the highway and they didnt really have a chance. they pretty much just ran out of steam. i wonder how fast they are off the line. i think next time i find one i'll see if he wants go. all the times i've found any was on the highway so i couldnt see what they had from a stop.

I raced one of those R/T Neon's and I have to admit they are pretty quick from a standstill.. I would still pick any Maxima over a Neon. Now that I'm back from vacation, I will hopefully get my purple bottle filled once again.
