Stereo Upgrade

Hey everyone, for those of you who are into car audio, i thought i might share this with you all. I am selling my old system to make room for the one on the way. I bought 2 12'' JL audio W3v2's,a mtx 81000D 1500 watt amp, a full trunk dynamat kit, 1 farad digital readout capacitor. I will be purchasing a pair of tweeters to install on the rear seat pillars for extra clarity. My local stereo store is goin to do a custom amp rack for me to.

All i can say is that with an 81000D I'd recommend a bit more than 1 farad. I've had one of these in my car and it really pulls a lot of current. I will eventually buy one for myself one of these days but to let you know how much current it pulls I've seen it make 2 honduh civics and a Tahoe OFF. The cars were running and the RPMs start to drop and they just straight cut off. Oh yeah, try to run at the least 2ga wire.

Yeah i know that thing has to pull some power, if anything i would get another capacitor or just not have it turned up all the way untill i get one. I was also looking at a Sound Stream 880 watt amp, any experience with it?

azmalu, i am running a inline fuse off my main power cable. Then in my distrubution block i am using 2 60 amp fuses. I am not sure if there is any modifications you can do to you altenator. There are a few company's making high output altenators.
