Monza Pace Setter Cat-back

Anyone happen to have this one?

Sound? Fit? Good price but how is the quality?

Tia!

I just noticed they make headers too!

Pacesetter = Cheap + low quality.

And I speak from experience.

What about the headers? Would they be worth it or not?

Depends. I havent seen any dyno numbers for the headers.

Keep in mind that you will probably have to pull the engine to put the rear bank header on.

If you look historically on all cars at Pacesetter, they are low quality and offer very little HP gains.

If I had broken exhaust studs, and warped manifolds as a result, and had to pull the engine anyway, I might be tempted to try out the headers. But what a pain if they didnt fit after you put the engine back in!

Yeah i have broken rear exhaust studs but if the headers they make arent worth it then im not even going to waste my money. I just didnt know anyone made headers for our cars!

It says they are painted mild steel. I think I'd want Warpspeed to make headers for our cars anywho.

I didnt know that either to be honest, of course I never looked.

I know with Honda's, headers provide very little power gains (if any) vs the stock manifold. Part of that can be attributed to a very efficient manifold design (Primarilly 4:2:1).

I wonder if stock Nissan manifolds are also this efficient?

On honda's it saves a bit of weight and looks better, and that's about it.

Yeah they definately look better. Also the headers would complete the exhaust.

the headers would peal in a week and by an ugly rusted mess. I speak from experiance with headers on my Chevelle. They were not pacesetters but they were painted.

If you got the headers I would sent them to Jet Hot (a good ole MS company) and get them coated so they will never rust.

I know I saw a header install on a 4th gen supercharged and saw no gain at all. If I remember correctly, it actually caused a dip in power curve where there wasn't with the stock manifolds.

If the header isn't coated..i would simply buy an exhaust coating from eastwood and coat it myself, if you can afford it, ceramic coating is always best.

I got the pacesetter, and where it might not be as good as a gredy, it only cost me like $180 unlike $500 for others. I've had it about a year and is running fine.
