Pace Setter Cat Backs
#1
I want to know if anyone out here in forum land is using or has used a Pace Setter muffler or cat-back system in their maxima. In particular the Monza series. Was there any noticeable change in horsepower? How did the exhaust note change? How was the build quallity?
I noticed that their systems are much cheaper than HKS or GReddy. The full cat back sells for about $200. I was wondering why that is so.
Thanks

Brullen has a black and chrome look if that's what you are looking for. Their system is supposed to be very high quality (all SS) and have a very good sound. They have it at http://www.stylincompacts.com for about $450. If my A'PEXi doesn't come through (which it looks like it won't) I think I'm going with the Brullen.

Yeah, basically a catback is a "b-pipe" and a muffler. The Brullen is all stainless steel painted black with a polished tip. Lifetime warranty. It's actually cheaper than the Greddy or a Stillen setup, and I've heard really good things about them on Audis and VWs.

Yeah, but I can't find anyone that has it. I e-mailed them to see about direct prices - hopefully I'll hear back in a couple of days. They have a link on their website (www.brullenexhaust.com) for group deals, but it's still under construction. If anybody else is interested in this, let me know and I'll try and make some contact.

I looked at the Stylin' Compacts website. Unfortunately the Brullen system isn't available for the 98 maximas, which is what I have. Looks like they stopped with the 97 year. Or maybe Stylin' Compacts only carries Brullen systems that fit pre-98 Maximas.
