Rear suspension??

I did a search and found nothing about the rear suspension being automatic self leveling. I need alot of rear suspension work done and don't want to get screwed because I didn't know whether I had it or not. My car is a 91 5spd. The differance on price for the shocks alone is $200 each. Thanks

you have the regular suspension
if you look under your hood and see a couple wires going into the top of each strut and you have a button right in front of your shifter that says "sport" and "comfort" (not power/comfort tranny switch) and I think it was only available on 89-91GXE as an option package that also included the digital dash

check out www.shox.com, www.eatricezone.com, and there are a couple others out there

The big tip off is the Sport/Comfort (or whatever) next to the tranny S/C switch next to the gear selector.

That being said, I replaced the Sonar suspension with standard KYB struts without any issues.

If you have an SE then you DO NOT have the Sonar Suspension. It was only available in the GXE which was 4-spd automatic tranny only.

Thanks for the info I wasn't sure, and one shop was going to charge me for the $250 a piece shocks.
