back window tinting

back window tinting

has anyone tinted the back window of there maxima, if so how many pieces did you have to do it. has anyone tried it in 1 or 2 peices? just curious what is the va percentage law minimum.

umm, it's 2 pieces on mine. it's 5%. i'm in GA - not legal but cops have better things to worry about.

i have 1 peice, 2 tints, one 35 and one 20. the back window is difficult but why did they do it with 2 peices?

mine is one piece, any decent installer should do it in one piece

well, my 5% wasn't as tall as a back winshield. it looks damn good tho. Jason, how the hell did you get your key ring (on the starter) red? did you get your guage needles from importintelligence.com? your dash and gauge cluster is phat as hell man.

did all of you guys installed it yourself or have a shop do it? cant you do it in 2 or may 4 pieces and used a hair dryer to erase the seams?

i wouldnt reccomend DIY. hella FINE CLOSE cutting to do. the guy that did mine used a heat gun...more powerful but same concept.

well im DIY im thinking in doing it in four pieces and maybe use a hair dryer to seal the seams

the 35 i had professionally done, i put the 20 over that myself, all i have to say is it was a *****.

I did it on my own. All the windows are fine, except for the back window. It starting to peel-off. It's kind of difficult anyways. I will get the back done by a pro.
