Trying to fix stalling problem. Disconnected O2 sensor-do I have to pull it out AND

take off the wire part of it as well? Where does the wire(s) lead to? Hard to tell when you're alone and trying to find the end...

NM, I figured it out. Well, here goes nothing. I'll let you all know if this fixes my stalling problem...

Well, just letting it idle without the oxygen sensor attached still gets the erratic idling that is much-chronicled on these pages. It will idle beautifully and then, without warning, the rpms will dive to the point of stalling-sometimes it does stall. Now, I'll take it on the freeway to confirm the erratic power loss. THis is really beginning to **** me off.

check the engine vacuum at idle. I'm sure there's a spec somewhere on it, but i've found on several nissans that the poor idle is caused by a leaky intake manifold gasket.

Yup, stalling/stuttering at hwy speeds as well. *sighs*
