Pics of Crazy4Maxima's Accord intake on his VG

http://xrrcd.com/izzy

well we got it this time, last time I think we lacked the brain power to figure it out, this time it was much easier. took about 3-4 hours including a trip to home depot,

I had to cut the pipes a bit to accomadate the larger couplings and the fact that it was for a different car,lol but after that it was pretty much like when I did my place racing intake. a few more things need to be tweeked (hose conections) but other than that its cool, sounds just as good as mine and Im sure as Izzy's driving home now hes got a huge grin on his face
the total cost is probably around $65 so if youve got some time I say go for it.
we also came up with another idea but untill we work out the kinks, we'll keep that to ourselves.

Thanks to Jason for the tremendous help. Also to ChrisCheeser in the help in the maf adapter solution. Yes it sounds way louder then it did before with my pop intake. I took a drive around and noticed lower rpms gains.. Highway i found out that the cai help my rpms climb quicker adn got up to top speed in no time compared to the old pop charger set up.

Sadly i must say that i just got pulled over just after a few exits from jasons house, and given a ticket for going 76 in a 55 by nassua trooper.http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=181570

other than that.. yes the accord intake needs some work to fit in.. but it does work.. factor in that you need about 20 bucks in parts from home depot..

so put it like this

29.99 for the cai for an accord 90-93
20 bucks in bolts, clamps, and adatper for the pipes
also the cutting to make it fit
maf adapter from the stock airbox

so looking about 60 bucks total to install a poor man's cai with the same benifit.
just need to install a breather later down the road and i am set.

That intake now looks like it was made for a VG maxima. Jason nice install looks very good, looks like you guys had fun. I would've went but I was at the hospital waiting for my nephew to be delievered. Healthy boy, and born the day after my birthday. Izzy, how did it feel after driving home on the LIE?
