The other night I was going to change the temp setting on the display and my buttons weren't lit up. I've had the car for about month or so and don't remember if they were lit before. The buttons I'm talking about are the Auto, Econ, Off, and the temperature set buttons.

For those of you who have the Automatic system, are they supposed to be lit up at night? If so, what could be the problem? The unit works and everything it's just the lights are out on the buttons.

It's the bulbs inside the unit itself. I have the same auto controlled heater/AC, and they all lit up when I got the car about 8 months ago. They all still light up, except now the AMB, OFF, and RECIRCULATE buttons don't glow. I am going to rip into my dash this weekend to put in my new white face guages. As long as I'm doing that, I'm going to get at those bulbs. I'll let you know how it goes and what bulbs to use.

The whole set doesn't light up for me(Auto, Econ, Off, Recirculate, amb, def). I think they just all went out at once. Would that be a fuse somewhere for that set of bulbs since you say that half of yours don't light up now?

Let me know what you find out. I may take a look at it this weekend and will post what I find.

Hey I got the same climate control. First thing I noticed when I got his car about 2 months ago...the clock lights and climate controls lights dim when the headlights are on. Also your dash lights may be on a low light setting. Theres a button to the left of the CC by the rear defoger switch. Keep pressing it to the right to bighten up the dash lights. It worked for me.
