My dash lights, interior lights (cigarette, A/C, radio, and shift), and side marker lights (corner and orange part) all went out when I was driving. My headlights still work though. I recently rewired my corners too. I was using a CD player with a cigarette plug thingy and messing with that a little....but would that affect anything?

I checked all my fuses and they're okay, so I think the problem might be the bulbs (seems like 194's and 1157's are out). I've never opened up my dash before and don't want to do it unless I really have to.

Is there anything else I can check before digging in there? Where can I find instructions on opening the dash and clusters?

hey, are you sure its bulbs? sounds liek something else if all those different area went out at the same time. I also have a 92 GXE and am looking into a new tranny. How did u make out with yours?

I called LOTS of dealers and shops and got ranges from 1500 to 2750. I finally got it rebuilt (torque converter blew up) for $1500. I got a 6mo/6K mi warranty with it too. I would expect that the price should be around 1500-2000, but it depends. The only irritable thing is that now my ABS light is on, and it wasn't before. The mechanic told me that it would have to readjust since the battery was disconnected. After 3 weeks, the light still hasn't turned off. Guess I'll have to do something about that soon

I have the same damn problem with my dash lights and no one seems to know what the problem is. I have done no modding to the electrical system in my car either.
