Fuel pump replacement
I just had my fuel pump replacement replaced. When my stock pump went out the garage thought they were saving me $100 by using an aftermarket pump. Cool I thought, until I went to start the car. I was now told (according to the printed instructions) that I would have to hold the gas peddle down 1/3 of the way while starting. If I did not do this, the car would crank for up to 8 seconds before it would catch. Then it would run rough for about two seconds. Then it would run fine.
After about three weeks of this I had the garage put in a genuine Nissan fuel pump. Back to normal! They paid for the labor the second time.
My advice is to go with the Nissan pump. IMHO
