Hi!, I am selling my '85 Max after 30 years of ownership. I am the original owner, and the Max has about 150k miles. All five of our children drove the car in their high school years ... with no accidents!! It hasn't been driven it for several years, since our last daughter graduated. I would typically start it up every few months, but I went to start it recently and it did not start. I trouble shot as best I could and determined the fuel pump has stopped working. The relay clicks on, but no pumping occurs when the key is put in the on position. It has always started well prior to this last time.

1. Thumbs up for teaching your kids how to drive a standard transmission (especially the girls).

2. Try tapping around on the bottom of the fuel tank with a board or something. Lots of times the fuel pump will start working again.

3. I'd love to have that thing but I'm hundreds of miles away so good luck with the sale.
