Grill question

I have a 1991 Maxima SE - the model with the grill that is just one horizontal bar going across the middle. Are there any grills that fit? (The ones from grill-tech do not fit this style grill). Anyone else with a 91 SE have any experience with installing grills?

without trying to sound rude, please look around and read a few posts before asking questions like this.

questions like this are akin walking into a club and asking the bartender if they serve Bud Light.

Get a 92-94 Grille and customize it...

The Grille-Tech insert is a load of overpriced crap anyway.

Yeah it's lame. It lays over the front, and you can still see the stock grille through it...

And people PAY over a hundred bucks for it!

I used some stuff called "Liquid Nail" Worked to keep the mesh on the grill and the emblem on the mesh.

Well...no....you cant really make a NICE mesh grille for 10 or 20 bucks. I mean you'd spend more than that in just good paint supplies.

I spend a good 50+ bucks on supplies for mesh grilles and then a good week of work. It's NOT 'easy', but then again not all mesh grilles are made the same.

does anybody have any close up pics of the back of their mesh grills. i want to see how exactly the mesh is connected to the grill. i have the horizontal lines in my grill all cut and sanded out. i just have to find the time to put the mesh in. i would really like some close up pics or some suggestions on how to place and hold the mesh in place. close up pics would help a lot. thanks

Im sorry, id have to disagree. I paid 20 bucks for mine on ebay, and it made a huge difference, making the front of my car look much better. 20 for homemade, and lots of headaches, or 20 for premade, which looks just as good.

I think the grilletech website has the insert for like $59 for our gen. I think that was where the "overpriced" part came in. and the fact that it is just an insert. I could be wrong.

no, I agree to that, Im just saying there are cheaper ways of getting it. If I had to pay $59 for it, I probably wouldn't buy it either.

Here is a pic i just took.....
