Im going to be purchasing a 94 GXE and it only has the radio/tape player in it-Can i get the Bose face from a new style max and just replace it? If so how easy is the install? thanks for the help in advance.

Yep, it's doable. Be prepared to do a lot of wire cutting though. The newer bose systems have a different connecting head, make sure you have a legend of the wires for the old system, and the new system. Probably the hardest part was taking out the old brackets from the old HU. Nissan likes them really tight. For me, I just went to the dealership and bought 3rd Gen brackets to put on the new unit since it was impossible for me to remove any of them from the old unit.
It's all cool, but next time, use the search. =)
