I need an answer Immediately

I'm in school right now pulling my VE and I need to know where I hook up the cherry picker to my engine, to support it while I remove the rest of the mount bolts. Any help , Thanks.

with or w/o tranny?
i would hit the front left..(alternator/ac compressor area) and the the back right...tranny mount perhaps..(but it depends on w/ or w/o tranny).

oh and don't demand answers..we'll answer as fast as we can.

also you're in school...shouldn't u ask the instructor or something? or are you doing this yourself? get someone to help you.

definite points? you need a part where it's strong enough where it won't break under the load of a engine. there's no definite points to hook up a engine to a sling!

like i said to you in the PM..front left and back rear.

I wrapped a chain around the front exhaust manifold and then used the intake manifold support brackets for the other side. But I just removed the engine and dropped the tranny before. If you are trying to remove both, be prepared to maybe bang stuff around jocking the engine and tranny out.

Your welcome

What he said. Wrap chains around. It will be hard if u are pulling with tranny.

Thanks guys I got it, it was a ***** though, I had to put 2 floor jacks under it and lifted one up to the tranny and one up to the crossmember (cradle). then I took the bolts out of the 2 remaining mounts and raised the car on the lift, then lifted it onto a dolly and wheeled it into the engine room ready to break downm, I can't wait. This engine is a pain in the *** to pull, And to be honest I'm scared to put it back in. BUt thanks for the help guys. you were more help than nissan who told me they have never pulled one and to search the internet.

easy easy...don't be so quick to judge. people don't know your situation. what he probably meant is that the instructor in school should know how to pull the motor out since he is TEACHING and all ya know.

I would highly suggest keeping comments like that to yourself. name calling and racial slurs are a QUICK way to be banned from .org.
