I have decided to part with the maxima. (most likely)

Reasons for selling:
188,000 miles
Hail damage (not that bad though)
Noises that I am sick of

Reasons for not wanting to sell:
moonroof
fastness
leather
style

How much do you think I can get?

everything is pretty much working and no other damage besides hail. interior is really nice too.

See that is what I would like to get. a 92-94 Se with less then 100,000 miles. and 4200 I would pay. Still I would also like to get a 4th gen so I could save up for a supercharger.

Where the heck can you get a 92-94 SE for $4200?

I paid $7000 for mine and it had 126K when I bought it. If there was a place that I could get a loaded 94 SE 5sp. I would want it. I have 151K now and I am replacing the engine. I love my car, and I don't plan on getting a new one for a while but when I do I would want a black on tan leather 94 SE 5sp. with all options and super low miles(i.e. under 50K). In my area, I would be willing to pay $9-10K for such a car if I could find it. I dunno why I just spent a G replacing my engine when I could have gotten an 86K SE for $4200.

welp my 90 gxe is up too

I am trying to sell my 1990 gxe too. It is a great car and looks mega good. It has the se guages. Power everything moonroof and all. it is pearl with 5% tint all the way around. Also has a nice panasonic cd player 3 90inch subs and all bose for mids 1 inch tweeters for highs.
The car is in jam up shape. I have replaced the motor paobly has about 30k on it. Also new starter and heads.
The engine bay is almost clean enough to eat off of.
New wheel bearing all the way around and It currently has a semi new level 10 transmision rebuild.

I am sure i am forgetting a ton of stuff.. but I am going to sell the car for 4 thousand. The car is great! But i also have a 92 Se and can't really aford to have both anylonger. The interior is dark brown. And if you would like I can put an SE stle steering wheel in it. I have several.

If your intrested my icq is 23722887
or email me duckdux@homail.com

I am in south georgia/north florida area.

hmm,

For an 89 Max with 188k, I think you can get like 3,000$-4,000$, I wouldn't pay that much, but I think thats reasonable, more or less.
I got my 93 SE in March of 2000 for 7,200$ with 84k. Saw a 90 GXE with 100k for 5,000$.
And Flyry, thats one hell of a deal you got on your ride. Wow.

Re: Where the heck can you get a 92-94 SE for $4200?

holy geeze, sorry dude, i'm not saying you overpaid. . . ok i'm saying you overpaid. actually you probably paid market value on it. see, i didn't go out looking for a max, i went looking for a deal. we get new cars in every few weeks from the auction and stuff (best friends' dad's a dealer) but i ended up finding this one by chance. it was my uncle's neighbor. I was gonna offer him 5,000 for it cause it needed a half shaft, and brake pads, but he was like 4200 and it's yours. it's a great car and i love it. just put ANOTHER set of rear pads on. hmmmmmmmmmm

I bought my max from a company who was going bankrupt and they sold it to me for $100.00. the best money i ever spent. I got lucky and I didn't realize what I had till I drove it home. It was a real change from a '76 fullsize ford truck!

I bought my 92 SE 5 speed for $4900.00 in May of 2000, it had 150,000 miles, leather, moonroof, Bose CD/Cass, upgraded 134a A/C. Also bought a 97 SE auto in May of 2000 for $15,500 all options except leather and ABS.

I can't complain.....

I am happy with the deal I got on my max... I had an integra that had a bad transmission (1/2 gears only until it warmed up***the dealer I tradeed it in to didn't know that),the muffler was bad, and the engine smoked to high heavens. it had 158K on it and it was a sick puppy and about to quit on me. The interior was thrashed, dents were abundant, etc.) Basically it was a POS car begging to get put in a wrecking yard... Anyways I traded it in for $3500 on my $7000 maxima. Maybe their price was inflated, but my trade in was inflated too. I always wanted to get a/c and a 5sp. for my integra, so when I traded it in I got that and one more thing.... two extra cylinders!!! I didn't know what power was until I test drove a 5sp. VE max!!!

I plan on asking 4200 for mine and taking anything above 3900. Then I will purchase a 93 or 94 SE 5spd for 6500 or less with less then 100k on it. hopefully

sorry, never read that part. its a possibility, but I'm probably not going to sell it for a couple months and not until I find the car I want. Somebody on here said they have a bunch of SE steering wheels.I can't remember who said it. But you might want to read through the posts and see who it was.
