Ridiculous

Ok, so i have a 92 gxe, I bought this car because I liked the style and the v6 and so on and so forth, but i find it really ridiculous that so many things could be wrong/recalled on this thing. I have the same problem most of you have with the hesitation, and fluctuation. i have replaced vaccum lines, throttle position sensor, spark plugs/wires, rotor, cap, entire distributer, cleaned connections on sensors and injectors, cleaned throttle body, replaced eccs relay, the list goes on and on. The only thing i havent replaced is the idle air control valve which i have read about and this seems like the only logical thing left because of the emissions pulse that it creates. i have read that u have to put the car in diagnostic mode to turn off the auxilury air control valve. This will be the next thing I do, also i read about the vaccum actuator valve maybe that too. but i just had to vent. Now i know someone out there has fully fixed this problem. Please share. How do you feel? after the experiences ive had with this car i will not buy another nissan. Will you?

Yes, yes I will. For a 14 year old car with over 260k miles, It's running pretty strong, minus the slight hesitation. I've seen engines crap out with less. My loyalty is with Nissan.

I second that. before i had my max i've driven a 1990 honda accord and a 95 camry. then i got my max...loved it ever since. even tho it doesn't have as much milage as other 3rd max on here, it still runs pretty strong for an 1989 year car with 143K miles. I'm too with nissan.

I would get another max as well. Or maybe an infinity.... q45...i35... basically brothers. But I like it alot, heater and air warm up fast, it's in reasonably good shape while a ford would have blown 5 compressors(my sisters taurus's radiator just exploded for the third time in the past couple months, good thing there's always a warrenty..).
Japanese cars all the way! :P

Yeah, it's kind of funny. I bought my Max about 2 years ago, pretty much driven to the ground, and with about 225k miles on it. And I have had less problems with it than one of my best friends and her 2k SC1 Saturn.
