Engine vibration, part two
Engine vibration, part two
I posted about this about 4 months ago but didn't get very much info. I have a low moaning sound and very slight vibration at idle on my 92 GXE, auto. I took it to a tranny shop but they said it wasn't coming from my tranny and that my tranny was in perfect shape (not bad for 170,000 miles
) They did suggest that it could be an accessory component with a bad bearing. The sound is definitly coming from the tranny side of the compartment but I can't think of any accessory component that is on that side unless the power steering pump is on the tranny side of the engine. Any ideas?

i too have a vibration at idle and a little more vibration only between 1000 and 1200 rpm. i have cjangd all mounts motor and tranny and still havent figured it out. i would like to kow what i should do. let me know if u have had these symtoms thanks
Pretty similair
The symptons sound the same but who can be sure. My current theory is that I have a bearing that is going out somewhere on the engine or the tranny. Problem is, I don't know what bearings would be in that area. Guess I'm going to have to pick up a manual to take a look.
my engine is idling and knocking at around 1k also, know its not tranny cause i just had that bastard rebuilt, so took it to mechanic and he pointed out my injecter cables were coming apart but thats my problem i gotta fix still so ...
