Power steering fluid leaking
Help! Power steering fluid is leaking from my max!!!
What can I do??
I hope its just the hose thats doing it not the actual pump.
Do you guys know roughly how much this is going to cost??
Also, if its just the hose, i could probably do it myself (and save some money!).
Does anyone have a write up on how to replace a Power steering hose.

first you must find out where it's leaking. high pressure or low pressure hose, or return hose? is it the pump or the steering rack itself?
lotsa variables.. start with the hoses, since they're the cheapest. expect to pay abotu $40 for the high pressure one. low pressure isn't bad. you can change these in an hour or so by yourself.
if that doesn't work, then you'll have to change the pump. it's not as easy, but still a DIY job. took me about two hours.
if it's the steering rack that's messed up, I'd leave that to a pro or a GOOD DIY person. one of those that if you have to ask questions about it, then you shouldn't be doing it.

I'm having the same problem. It looks like the fuild coming from the rubber hose connected the reservior. This rubber hose is then connected to a metal like tunnel. After clean it up it's no more stain on it. But I can still see fuild stain on this rubber hose. So what's wrong, is it a high or low or return hose?
thanks!
thanks!
