removing rear seat

I have 93 maxima.. my bose speaker/amplifier are screwd up..
I am trying to remove rear seat..
I have read Craigs site on this and also searched on this site..but still I am struck with some problem..
I removed the bottom portion of rear seat.. Took off screws.. When it comes to the top portion of rear seat it is stuck like rock...!!!
I see three points on the top which hook the seat to the body
Now there are iron hook kind of thing on these points and then small plastic (white color) case which covers this hook...
I can see a portion of same plastic case if I get in the trunk..

Now my question is when I pull out the top portion of seat only the hook comes off or the plastic case too..

I tried several times today but no luck..
Hints any body!!

look at the bottom half of the seat, and you'll see the same things on them. there's one on each end.

also, you don't have to remove the seat to get the Bose stuff out. just climb in the trunk and you'll see how it comes out.

Removing the top part of the rear seat

Here's how I did it (was a PIA, but I got it done). It's best to enlist someone's help to get it out because it's difficult to do it alone. The plastic covers on the metal hooks have these little tabs on them that prevent you from pushing them up through the metal frame and out so that you can remove the back of the seat. Have someone in the trunk with a flathead screwdriver push the tabs up so that they can push up on them and the tabs won't fall back through the holes and prevent upward movement. There's two main plastic tabs covering the hooks, so as the person in the trunk uses the flathead screwdriver and pushes the tabs up, the person on the inside can hold up the rear seat back so that the hooks stay clear of the holes. Once all three of the tabs have been pushed up, you can remove the rear part of the seat. Replacing the rear seat back it is as easy as putting the hooks and plastic covers back in the holes, I suggest that you only only do that after you have replaced the bottom part of the rear seat first.

I had to do this when I decided to re-wire my entire stereo system, and I did it by myself so I understand your frustration in doing this alone. I hope that I explained it right, if not, you can try to look on my website so you can see what I did. Good luck!!!

i found this link that is supposed to help (im freakin clueless):
http://www.cybrrpartspro.com/Chilton...61CH10_20.HTML

i get stuck at step one cause ive tried this before and im pulling my a$$ off. nothing, no hinge, is disengaging.

can anyone give me an idiot's guide to removing the lower back seat on my 90 se. college doesnt teach you everything.

thanks

pull up on each corner about 8 inches in each side. If you cant yank it up then take a large screwdriver and pry in that area.

here is a good link. http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html click on how to on the top
