3rd gen is best looking...

All right, I know you'll all agree seeing as you have one (I have a 2nd gen - 1988). As I was driving home from work today I passed a 3rd gen and a 4th gen driving one behind the other, and I've obviously seen 5th and now 6th generations as well - I think the 3rd gen is the best looking. Just my opinion. I have a goal to replace my '88 with a '94 SE.

I love my 3rd gen... A LOT. But I'll take a 5.5 gen any day of the week.

I like the third gen a lot, but the fact that I can buy a bolt on turbo or supercharger kit for a 4th or 5th gen makes have a change of heart

D-sta, you dont want their crappy supercharger, you want a VE turbo, trust me. A S/C at 10psi cannot match a turbo at 5psi.

not too sure about that, thats a little exaggerated...the 4th gen turbos at 4-5 psi were only making ~270fwhp, and the SCs at 10psi were well into the low 300s.

Dmontzmax, it's just too much much trouble for the VE, that's why I said bolt on big guy, plus I'll probably in a few years be leaving my car to my Dad to drive and I'll have 1998 supra TT after I get a job.

Re: Re: Re: u dont need to tell us

Its really not as hard as you think. It is just the same as any other car, except you dont have it easy with a kit, but the 4th gen kit will fit, but with some slightly different bends. I am positive something will be available soon.

Re: Re: Re: u dont need to tell us

also what makes the 3rd gen unique is just that.. Theres alot of nice 4th/5th gens runnin around and theyre nice; but, it is alot more rare to see a clean 3rd gen drivin around (excluding all the beat up VGs that are driven around with purple tint and flower rims)

but a supra definitely aint nothin to complain about, heh.. after this its most likely 4th or 5th gen time for me as a daily driver (if 3rd gens were newer id stay with em) and hopefully within a few years its project car time

ALOT of 4th gen owners respect and agree that the 3rd gen is timeless.

Maybe we should take pics of our cars together to show how 4th gen rims look much better than 5th gen rims on a white and black max

I like the 350Z rims, though I've yet to see them mounted on a 3rd gen. I think it'd look good, it's what I'm aiming for...

3rd Gen.- Best looking maxima when stock hands down, just the shape is amazing, the way the fenders flare out . Its kinda of square and kinda round but not 80's looking but also not future car looking. I just wish it would get more respect.

As much as I like 3rd gens, I'd take a black 96 with a 97 front and rear conversion, and I/Y/E/VI/ECU/UDP any day over a modded 3rd gen.
