read ECU data in real-time??

anyone heard of our ECU (VE) able to be read in real-time with engine parameters and measurements??

I know you can do this pretty easily with ODB-II, but our system is totally proprietery. Making the hardware really isn't a problem, I just need to know the signal logic for reading and the pin-outs for the data.

anyone done anything like this??

there's a couple of places that have done it for DSMs, but none for the VE.

If you do find one, i'm VERY interested in it.

well, we can make one. We just need the data specs from the ECU. It's gotta be available some-how... even if we had to hook up an oscilliscope to the stupid nissan scan tool. nissan has to have this published in some secret book somewhere... we just have to find it.

Yup the nissan 'consult' diagnostic tool will give real time data. A while back one went for sale on ebay, I was bidding on it but the price went to something like $800. I think new they are around $1300 but the dealer wont sell them.

so that just means we need to find out what kind of signals it sends the ECU to start streaming that data out to us.... it's gotta be SOMEWHERE...

Yeah it would be real nice if we could directly interface our laptops and get the same data interface that the consult allows. A little software code and cable interface is all that should be needed.
