I told the Nissan dealer here to fix my A/C unit lights and they said that you have to buy a whole new unit in order to fix the problem. I wonder if you can't just find a bulb, but I don't want to mess with taking out the A/C unit to find the bulb etc. They said it was $170 to replace the unit. This may be a crock of ****, but oh well. I'll suffer with the problem until I have enough throw around cash to buy a new unit.

the dealer will NOT repair the unit. they rather sell u a new one. if your handy i'm sure you can fix it yourself or head to a junkyard and get another one.
also i'm assuming that u don't have a digital climate control one.

Yeah I have the analog one. I bet there's some sort of light bulb in there that could easily be replaced but i don't want to **** with it. I tried getting it out before and you have to take the dash apart to get the A/C unit out.

what lights are blown? I thought my recirc button light had blown for a couple days, but then i read in the manual when you have the defrost button on, recirc mode is automatically disengaged, therefore the light was off with the button pushed in.

Just my 2 cents

every light except the green lights that come on when you push the different buttons, like the light when you push A/C/ Those all work but the back lit part doesn't.

I have the Digital climate control and some of my buttons went out on me also. I took the system out and there are bulbs that pop in the back of it. I found some bulbs at radio shack that are about the same size. And they were only $1.50 for 2 of them. At the dealer it costs $5 per unit. The only thing is they are in a little holder but all you do is just pull the bulb out and put the new one in. There is a little green cover that goes over it too. Pretty easy...

It's easy enough to get it out, so I would rather spend $170 bucks on something else and do it yourself.

AC Lights

For whatever reason, all my lights in the AC unit and the control dash button went out. The dealer couldnt find a part number and claimed they didnt exist. There wrong. You can replace all the lights, both in the AC unit and the dash. Pull the AC unit and there are about 6 or so in the back. I had to order extra AC lights to to use in the dash buttons because as usual, the dealer couldnt find them... so they dont exist... right... Good luck

i have the same problem and pulled the climate control unit out its easy to do you dont have to take it all the way out just loosen it up little. then right behind the face plate on the drivers side there are two little white rubber square nubs, if you pull those out the light bulb is connected to them. they are really small and im not sure what size. I havent fixed mine yet cause i havent had time to go searching for bulbs but they are easy to get out and the bulbs will be cheap so for $5 i would try this first. It will probably solve your problem.

Oh well, at least you USED the search function! Kudos.

Also, is that with the Automatic Climate Control or regular? I've got one or two burnt out bulbs in my Auto unit on the driver's side.

well this is only a year old, but yea thers supposed to be a light in there.. you can go to radio shack and get the same bulbs 2 in a back for $1.50 and open up the switch and put a new bulb in, its not too hard, but it depends how much you like tinkering with ****

Hmm, but is there supposed to be a little yellow/orange light like on the defrost button? My fog switch doesn't change when I hit it.

btw, very clever with the "****"...

I remember reading a thread about a 4th gen owner actually changed his green lights to blue LED's. I thought it was really cool. It it possible for 3rd gens? Its seems like its more difficult to work with the 3rd gen climate than 4th gens.
