Which Springs 2 Choose

Hey PPL,

I'm gonna be in the market for some springs & struts soon. I'm getting tokico blues for my struts. I'm just curious to know which springs some of you guys use and what your thoughts are.

Suspension Technques
Eibach ProKit
Sprint
Intrax

I dont want it slammed and I don't want to pay alot for them either.

the only reason i'll be getting springs is because my stock suspension has become quite soft and bouncy.

thnx in advance for help.

P.S. if you feel like telling me to do a search. don't.

Just a suggestion, I'd go with Suspension Techniques. I've heard that they handle great and they don't slam your car. I've also heard that the ride handling is alright for lowering springs? I'm going to be getting some soon, but, if you get them, tell me how you like them?

Lordrandall has a set of ST springs for sale. Not sure how much but email or pm him to find out.

He can show you pics but I think the ST is pretty low. If you dont want it slammed then Eibach may be the way to go for you.

I just sold some Eibachs to get Intrax and think it was one of the best things I have done to the car...I love the lower stance.

I've got the tokico blues and the eibachs and it is a good combination. Although I really would have liked a lower drop, it still looks better than the stock height.

So what's the drop for intrax?
sprint - 1.9"
suspension tech - 1.6"
eibach - 1.4"

i just don't want to bottom out....but my main concern is reliability and price. i know that sprints are cheap and suspension techniques are priced pretty good. eibachs are expensize.
And remember people...I'm in Toronto so I have to pay much more for shipping. plus duties and taxes on items crossing the U.S./Canada border. That's why I'm concerned about price.

I know you say you dont want to search but man this has been discussed in great detail a lot of times. I know because I went through several posts when I was deciding on the sprints or intrax when I was wanting to change.

sprints are 1.8
intrax 1.75
susp tech are 1.5
eibach are 1.2

Eibach are the most expensive.

What is the quality of the springs vs. eachother. id rather spend the extra money for a quality set of springs even if it does not lower the car as much as some of the others.. please help me out

Consider the quality of springs irrelevant. Im sure this can be debated but I cant remember anyone having premature spring failure or poor build quality with any of the spring choices for our car. Just pick the one that lowers the car to your taste. Eibach is going to be the most expensive as this is the most established and universal spring company around.

I have ST springs...I like 'em alot. They are a bit stiffer than stock, but not super harsh (except for the Boston potholes, but then again they feel harsh on any car's suspension save a Caddy). Go to my webpage to see what the drop looks like. I personally think it is a hair too much of a drop for me, only because it turns my car into a snowplow in the winter. I can fit one, one and a half fingers between the fender and wheel.

you forgot the performance aspect. each spring performs at a different level

I say go with the ST springs, they are reasonably priced and are a decent drop.

If you want it to be slammed, go with Intrax because they seem to be more consistent as far as ride height.

thanx ppl

i think i will probably go with the ST springs & tokico blues. although a 3rd gen guy I know in Toronto has B+G sport springs and he loves them so i might have to go for a ride in his car and see how they are.

thanx for the advice and opinions.

I had tokicos and eibachs. The drop looked very nice: definitely not slammed, but still noticible. I rarely bottomed out. They did ride like poo though. Handled great, but I think I need several discs in my back aligned.
