real strange
real strange
Really need your help guys.
I have a 92GXE Max 100,000mi.
My wife has a 93SE Max 64,000mi.
We park em both in underground garage.
Today I went down to garage and BOTH cars have discharged battery.
Not even enough to turn over engines.
We never had any battery difficulty at all on either car.
Now they are both discharged at same time.
Can't friggin believe it because I was gonna boost the first discovered dead with the other car - then the big suprise.
Please help with any idea of what may have happened.
Thanks.

no add ons. just stock radios. Alarms didn't go off or I would have heard about that from the building super. lol. Both batteries are down the same way. just enuff power to dimly light the headlights but not enough to run starter. Maybe was god sent to prevent something is about the best explanation I heard yet. lol. Ran it past the dealer and he says new betteries are so many dollars. lol. No real explanation of how this cud happen. Really freaked out. Hoods were down with no evidence of tampering.Damn - if I wanted this sort of prob I wuda bought a Fords. Oh well. stranger things have happened I guess.
That IS weird.... and lophix is going along the right avenue. I'd look at any similarities as far as accessories and such. Another thing to look at is, if a dome light was on in the cars. Who drove the cars last, you or your wife? IF one of you drove both cars last before the other one had a change to get in/use the car, you might want to look at what you (or her) did prior to leaving the car, to see if there might be a similarity there. Perhaps one person may get out of the car and turn on the dome light before getting out. Or maybe one of you might get out of the car an not shut the door all the way.
Here's another idea (that might not apply to where you live): maybe if the two cars' block heaters were plugged into the same outlet, and the outlet itself may be defective to the point that it causes some kind of drain on the system.
I'm just grasping at straws here, but that might be somewhere to start, as two entirely separate cars normally shoudn't display the SAME problem at the same time unless there's some connecting factor between the two.
Or, maybe like DLB said, it WAS the battery gnomes...
