sprint vs intrax springs

Hey guys, i'm pretty new to this forum. I just ordered a set of 17" exel rims for my 92 max se. Im getting new Kyb struts this week also. My question is for springs. I want my car lowered. Ride quality doesnt really matter to me. Which springs would lower my car more? Sprint or Intrax? Thanks for the help.

well logic would say Sprint and on some cars Sprints do but the funny thing about Sprints is the fact that on some cars they slam them and others have reported a 2 finger gap between the fender and tire.

I did a lot of reading and searching on this site (a good tool for you to use...its in the upper right of the page) and I decided to go with the Intrax because it is more consistently lower.

anyway look around search and come up with your decision that way but I vote Intrax.

Intrax will slam all 4 corners but Sprint will slam the front and lower the rear just slightly...personally I like the Sprint look, but INtrax is good too if you want the all the way slammed look.

INTRAX!

They are almost the same height as sprint. But they are one of the best springs on the market in somes opinions, not just our cars. They are great and the ride height is real even and not really any gap at all. Sprint may be too low, cause I scrape with my Intrax sometimes.

yea i have sprint and i think it looks good, it takes a few days for the springs to settle and if you want it to settle lower in the back just put a lot of wieght on each side ... and it will lower it more. or you could do it for like 2 days and it will lower it just a little more.

Hmm...

Sprint - 1.80

Intrax - 1.75

Who's to really say Sprint is lower? You think that .05 of an inch is even measurable? Intrax!!

I guess Sprints are just inconsistent as far as build quality. I mean, mine has got a little under 2 fingers, I think the Nissan IS300 has no gap.......

I'm happy with mine now since I will be getting a kit soon, so I dont have to worry about scraping as much. However, if anyone thinks Intrax is too low for then, how about a trade plus cash?

I dont know I think my car looks lower than that but its hard to tell since your car is black lol. Mine has settled since I took pics the other day.

I dont even have one finger gap since I have to put my finger in at an angle up. That is all the way around too and not because my suspension is worn out since I replaced all the bushings (front and rear).

Finger gap

I understand this finger gap thing but aren't there two many variables when comparing "finger" gaps

Size of ones finger
Suspension condition, age, etc.
Tire size, height

All these will affect "finger" gap measurement, wouldn't it?
I choose Sprints due to price and availability

of course it does but its just a generalization. I have small hands and all new bushings though...just to clear that up

I am not a sprint hater though. I was going to get sprints but changed my mind at the last minute since I searched the org and found the sprints to be so inconsistant with the drop (some slammed some not) and found the Intrax to be pretty much the same on all cars...maybe its the way its installed. I put all the weight on the suspension before I tightened the bolts completely and torqued them.

i had sprints on my 90 se. Still had the 2 finger gap. I believe the rear sits pretty low itself. Jon91se, man i still love how your car sits on sprints.
