gas pedal

for a few days now my gas pedal acting kinda odd. in the morning, when i first step on the gas pedal to go, it wouldn't move under "normal" foot pressure. I have to step on it a little more to get it to go down. and when it does there's this pop sound right before it goes down. i checked the throttle cable under the hood and under the dash to see if it's catching on to anything, but no luck. this problem goes away after 10 minutes or so of driving. any ideas?

sounds like you should clean your throttle body

we had the same thing on my dad's F150 - the accel pedal would be really sticky at first but after it warmed up, it would be fine
it's probably some crap built up in the TB that makes it hard to move the throttle plate but when it warms up, it softens and doesn't block the plate

thanks craig i'll check to see if it's dirty (most likely because i'm not aware of the last time it was cleaned)
