Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew what the exhaust pipe diameter on the 1994 Nissan Maxima GXE is? 'Cause I'm looking to but a new performance muffler. Thanx!!!

 

stock piping is 2" and others say it is 2.25", mine had 2.25" on it so its possible that the catback pipe had been previously replaced when I got the car. just buy a muffler with a 2.25" inlet and go to a exhaust shop(or Track Auto) where they sell 2.25"->2" reducers and so if the piping on your car is 2", the muffler will fit on fine with no probs using the reducer!

 

It doesn't really matter what size inlet the muffler has because any exhaust shop can custom weld it on for you if it doesn't match your stock piping.
