im pretty sure i remember that Chris91se had a 2000 se muffler, uh as for where you can get it, Most likely any dealership would have it. try wwww.courtesyparts.com. Look at the 3rd Gen FAQ's Stickie on the top of the 3rd gen forum,

You can also try the 5th gen for sale forum. I was cruising through them a day or 2 ago, and there's a muffler or 2 for sale. Try it.

yeah Chris has one along with a few others. Search junkyards and the 5th gen boards a lot of guys get rid of there when they upgrade. They are heavy so expect to pay a lot for shipping

Also, just for reference, it doesn't just bolt on, as the inlet ports are different (I think OEM is center inlet, and 2k2 is side inlet). My mechanic just bent a piece of pipe, hacked off a little of my b-pipe, and welded it together. Cost me $20.

cool,

yeah i sold my max to my friend but due to sudden money problems he wasnt able to keep it. so i am stuck with it. boo hoo. i sold him my passat wagon instead because it was cheaper.

i just cracked my stock y-pipe. sucks because i just sold a new one like two weeks ago when i thought i wasnt gonna stay with my max. so now i need a y-pipe. i figure i will get a y-pipe, catco or a warpspeed cat, custom b-pipe and a 2K muffler.

any other suggestions for a cat back system. i might just get the
VE/VG Aluminized steel "Y" pipe w/HI-Flow 2.5" CarSound Cat, w/2.5" or 2.25" aluminized steel B-pipe (fits center inlet muffler only) $470.00
just got a get a muffler. maybe i can get a custom piece for the muffler like Mizeree_X

thanks

Search is NOT down. it's only cutoff to the non-donating members.
there's an easy way to fix that, you know.
