If the tabs aren't broken which is pretty common you can use the following as a guide to get at it. Just sorta work in reverse...this is how to get it out.
I have some instructions for removing the shade that I found at Maxima.org. I haven't tried this but they claimed it was a 10-15 minute job. Here are the steps:

1.Slide the shade back.

2. Open the sunroof to the position where it is popped up(not slid back)

3. There are 2 plastic bolt covers on the underside of the glass(one on each side). Each one has one screw in it. Remove the screws, and the covers should slide back and come off.

4. Remove the nuts that hold the glass. Remove the glass by picking it up from the outside of the car.

5. Slide the shade forward about half way. Get out of the car and work from the top. Notice the black clips on the sides that ride on the aluminum rail. There are 4 of these, one set on each corner. Each set ha........

at this point you can either remove it if the tabs are broken or put them back on track.

Hope this helps, Jeff
