Hello all
I have a 94 GXE auto 135k and have been experiencing a few problems. I recently had a full tune up (NGK plugs/wires, gas filter, had all the belts replaced) also put in a JWT Pop charger 3 weeks ago.
- First, I had the tranny rebuilt about 3 months ago because I lost all but 1st gear. It seems to have been running and shifting great except for the 1st to 2nd shift. At first it was a really hard clunky like shift when accelerating moderately but now its only a little "clunky". I brought it back to the shop to tell the mechanic and he told me this was normal. Is it?
- Power loss when accelerating. When accelerating on the highway the power is seesaw like. Not really bad but noticeable. Any ideas what this might be?
- Gas smell. I get a smell of gas when its cold out. I brought the car to the mechanic to do a full tune up in January and told him to look at the fuel lines as mentioned on other threads, but he said nothing was wrong with them. What else could it be?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
