get the WSP Y-pipe which is only offered MIG welded for our cars but Mig welds are still very good.

I emailed them for a direct quote both mig and tig welded and they only do it mig welded for the 3rd gen y-pipe. And to tell you the truth you won't be able to tell the difference between either weld. A tig weld is a bit stronger but there is no stress on the weld like on the frame so I wouldn't worry about it.

My feeling is that since this is a Y-pipe get it in aluminized because the heat will discolor stainless steel very quickly so why spend 50 bucks more when they will look the same after a month anyway. And, how many people have rust holes in their stock y-pipe? Heat drives off moisture very quickly, not like your muffler which collects water and rusts away. No difference in horsepower just cost. SS is good for cat back and cat but not y.

well I was going replace the cat with the y. I already have a magnaflow muffler bolted on so I guess the aluminized it is then. Thanks for all your help.
