Would Rims from a 2000 BMW M5 fit a 3rd gen maxima? I was dreaming last night and I got sucked into it. I'm not sure if the lug pattern is the same.

no, they use 5 x 120 mm or something close to that. just slightly off

Since the BMW is also RWD the wheel offsets are going to be way different. This will be true for wheels from any RWD car.
