Does anyone have a FSM for a 90
Fuel Injector Problem
Yesterday i pulled code 51 form my computer (fuel injector circuit). I have a 90 VG SE 5 speed. I called the dealership today and they said that means the reason my car is running crappy is there is a leak in one of my injectors and or my car is running rich. my question is. . . . could a fouled spark plug be causing this? what could be the possible fix beside taking it to nissan and paying 120 for "further diognostic checks". your help is appr epreciated
Ah.. the leaky injector is probably fouling the plug.
You have two choices:
1) Have a dealer or a local mechanic replace it for $xxx
2) Do it yourself.
Considering your question and it's format, I suggest 1)

on a ve you just discounect the injector plug and test the 2 pins on the injector the fsm says any where between 10 and 14 omhs is fine i have 3 that are at 12, 1 thats at 18 and 2 at 23 so i have 3 good and 3 bad im pretty sure its the same on a vg but the back 3 in a ve you have to go to a sub harnes to test

Try not to make new threads that you know are related to your original. I told you to go out and buy one already. Or at least buy Chiltons. The Chiltons is only about $15 for goodness sakes.

hey, its not too hard to replace an injector or injectors. you have to disconnect all th little hoses and wires from the top of the intake manifold and then at unbolt the top of the intake manifold and then, unbolt the middle-part of the intake manifold, then they are right there. just disconnect the wires and **** to them .. unbolt the bad injector or whatever.. and there you go. theres alittle more then just taht but that is basic idea. look at my homepage and you can see abunch of pictures that could help you .good luck
