? on Trim

? on Trim

I have just personally painted my car and am having trouble putting my old trim back on. I dont know if there is a certain trick to it or maybe i just need all new trim. Also if I do need new trim where could i get that??? All your help is appreciated.

Maybe you put on too thick a coat of paint???

I dont think that is it, how to they go on i dont even know cause i just ripped them off soo.........

OK what trim are you talking about exactly? There is lots of trim on our car. Trim under the door, around the windows, on the door, around the tail lights...ect.

Oh and thanks Jeff that could have caused a lot of people problems

Well, considering that he said that he just painted his car, he's probably refering to his trim on the doors?

no I plan on removing all of my trim when I paint my car not just the ones on the door...so there is no way of knowing until he says.

The main reason I say this is because you dont just rip the door moldings off (under and around window molding) unless you want it to be worthless. There are screws behind the door to undo them and if you just rip it off you might as well buy new ones.

Call Courtesy and get a quote from them. I know the price for belt moldings (under window trim) was around 200 for all 4 doors. I actually think it was closer to 150 but am not sure.

Hey yea i did just rip it off like a dumb *** would, i didnt know there were screws behind it, thanks. Hey where did u say would be a good place to call and get a quote??? and i did get all the trim on that clips on where the window is but thats it
