Update IS300 wheel fitment.

Ok well I had to take my rims off this weekend and basically re-think me install process. The temporary sleeves that I had on my lugnuts were causing problems, so for all you cheaters here is the best/safest way to install the Lexus wheels.

1) Bore out center to 66.1 Nissan diameter.

2) 2 thin spacers on the rear (just enough to clear back struts)

3) Shave off a tiny bit of front hub so that center cap will fit.
(do not go past pinhole).

4) Full set of Lexus lug nuts and wheel lock of your choice.

5) This is the part that took a bit of research. Turns out that the studs on a Mazda protge are the same size as the Nissan ones and carry the same thread/pitch as Lexus studs. Bingo! Bang on the new Mazda studs and bolt up the new Lexus lug set.

Its that simple!

wow sounds like a more complicated process than just "slapping rims on"

how big are the spacers that you have? im thinkin of gettin some for my 99 rims to make them sit a little more flush with the fender lip (and i can get a little bit wider tires now )

Can you post a picture of the back of your is300 wheels so we can see how they have been machined??

The wheels are on, cant exactly take a picture now.

What are you trying to figure out? Not to sound rude but they just make the centerbore larger to fit the Nissan hub. Its very clean and smooth. You would not be able to tell they were even machined unless you could tell the size difference.

Heavy? Heavier than what? Some Volks? Well yeah? Heavier than some skinnier 17" Y2k rims?? Nope. Stang rims(17x8) are about 19-22lbs each. Not extremely light BUT not any heavier than any other cheap 17s that most 3-gen guys run. And much STRONGER than most aftermarket rims.
