I do not really know how to fix car and I want to ask:

How much is the ignition distributor module cost?
I got a bad distributor and the car won't start.
My mechanic give me a price of ~US$300 to fix it with the whole module , wire set and the plugs. I'm in New York city so it might cost alittle more but does it sound good?
