My Dad needs some help with his '89 GXE
Hi all,
My Dad is trying to troubleshoot a current drain when the car is parked overnight or 8 or 10 hours.. If he disconnects the battery before leaving it for the night, it is fine the next morning..
He took a circuit light to check for live circuits and found only one that would light the light without the keys in the ignition. It's a fuse under the dash called "Electron. Batt."
In removing the fuse, the circuit goes dead, BUT the car still starts and runs fine. This APPEARS to solve the problem and obviously there is a short perhaps in this circuit. That being said, does ANYONE know what this circuit / fuse do in an '89 GXE? He doesn't notice anything not working with this fuse pulled, and after sitting overnight the car will start just fine. The manuals he has does not detail circuits in detail apparently.
Does anyone have any idea on this one?
