Tire Brands and Sizes

Tire Brands and Sizes
So, okay, I'm new. I looked at the FAQs but did not see much info on tire brands and sizes. Did I miss something?

I'm thinking of replacing my 215/60-15 Pilot XGTV4s on stock wheels on my 92 SE with something else. Who can tell me if 225/60-15 will fit ? Who has experience with any other tire?

TIA

I second that. I have Potenza RE950 high performance all season tires, and love them. They are great in dry and wet traction, and snow traction is enough to get me around, even with unplowed roads (I live in MA). I think they were $75 each from tirerack. Unless you want a summer performance tire, you should take a hard look at these.

Thanks for the replies. I am considering the Yokohama es 100s, but I'm not sure I want a 10-20k treadlife. My Pilots are at 50k now. Their problem is that they are noisy.

If I could put a 225/60-15 on the stock wheel I would have more choices. Has anyone tried that?

Can't talk about the sizing issue, however, I replaced my stock tires with some Kumho's from tire rack for under 300.00

I've got Bridgestone G-Grids on my one (had them for around 10K now and they still look like brand new). They are slightly wide for a stock tyre (215/65/15 or 215/60/15 not sure!) because of the wheel guard. I don't know if they sell these in the US though.

I've been using Bridgestones for quite some time now, and I have tried other tyres (Dunlop, Micheline (can't speel either ), and a few others), but I found that bridgestones are a great all weather tyre and value for money, and they are pretty grippy.

Hey Mizeree_X! Where in MA are you? I've been looking for more fellow 3rd genners in the area. check the NE forum for details on the april meet.

I was wondering what the tread life on the Yokohama ES100's are because I plan on getting them as my next tire in 225/50R16. I only got 15K out of my Yokohama AVS db Set, so I hope that doesnt happen again.
