Got an 89 maxima as my first car

I'm getting my licence tomorrow, so it looks like i'll be getting my parent's old 89 Maxima. I have to replace the Hydraulic Lifters and power steerign pump (by myself)before i can drive it. I'ts got pretty much everything power, and a graphic equalizer even. So i'm just glad to see there's a fan community for this car. Any idea what the possible 0-60/1/4 mile stats might be for a completely stock setup?

I take it you have A LOT of automotive experience already then...cause those aren't beginner tasks, good luck.

Heh, thanks. It's funny that you mentioned that, because this is the first time i've worked on anything serious for a car. Well, today i managed to get the power steering pump, then i tried to get the pulley off, and, having no pulley-pulling equipment, i bent the pulley. So tomorrow i'll hopefully finish the replacing the pump and actually be able to drive the car. Yeah, my dad showed me how to do some stuff, and then i just kinda caught on.

thats cool......the lifters on the other hand might be something you let an experienced mechanic look at...head maintence isn't exactly something you wanna screw with on your first try!
