Any of you techs out there know how to do this effectively? I don't want to replace all 6 if I suspect only one is on it's way out. Heh, should I just unplug one at a time and see if they make a difference?

I talked to Johnny max and that's what he did. Just unplugged the connector that leads to the top of the coil. If the engine DOESN'T run worse, then that's the bad one.

In the last week I have had two bad coils..

I put a used engine into my VE and I have now had two bad coils... Fortuantely I have a whole extra set of them to substitute for them... I replaced the ECU thing on the end of the front bank (not the crank angle sensor...I already replaced that) because it has happened with the new engine's electronics so I wanted to put all my electronic items from my old engine on that works so I know that some electronic part isn't causing others to fail... How much do those coils go for new and what goes bad on them? are they fixable???
