I have seen people change the back brakes to disc. I was wondering how much it costed them and if there is a maual or a faq some where about that.

aftermarket struts and springs are the same for SE/ GXE, so feel free to tell them whatever you want. you'll get the same parts either way.

i just checked the date on my car. it says 8/90. i was reading the link and it says that nissan used different parts after 9/90. so now when i ask for calipers, should i ask from a 89 just to make sure i get the right ones. im gonna try to get the caliper brackets and calipers used. but just in case i buy new loaded brackets, i think i will ask from a 89. this is a good link. thanks midnight.

it doesn't matter what year you get them from, as long as the brackets (come with the struts from the junkyard) and the calipers (you SHOULD be able to get them from the junkyard with everything else.) are from the same year car.

the newer ones are easier to work with, as there's a little more room for bolt clearances, but any of them will work.

Also make sure you get the parking brake cables from the same car so the ends won't be different. they have at least 3 different ends on the parking cables, so watch them.
