92 Max Trim Question

Hi.

I am thinking about buying a 92 Max and was wondering if a spoiler could be bought for a non SE model as a factory option?

The car I am looking at does have a spoiler, but I am hoping it's not an SE as I'd like to avoid the VE motor and it's vtc problems.

Thanks for your help!

The shady seller's worst fear is the educated buyer...

Yea a lot of people put one on or had the dealer put one on.

if it has a keypad it is a GXE...there are other differences but that is the most noticable and harder to change.

Ahh... Keypad, good tip!! I'm hoping/guessing that this car is relatively stock.

Here's another Q for ya... How prominent is the VE30 vtc problem? Is it pretty much a given that a VE30 has either had or is going to have a vtc problem?

for differences between GXEs and SEs with pics, check out my page
http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html in the how-to section

I'd say most VEs will have the VTC problem (maybe 80% or more)
