Security system or other electrical problem?

Hello all,

I have a strange problem I hope someone can help with.

After driving home and parking my '94, the next day I could not get the keypad to work at all (no beeps, nothing, dead). My key dosn't work in the doors, they have been frozen up for a long time. I was concerned about breaking in, because of the alarm, but I did it anyway and it didn't trigger. As it turns out, my horn fuse was blown anyway, but the ignition is dead. The starter doesn't turn over at all. I assume it is the security system disabling the ignition. The problem is, with the keypad not working, and not being able to turn the lock with the key, I don't have another way of de-activating the alarm to re-enable the ignition. My first thought was a dead battery, but that is not the case. It is providing a solid 12.5V all the time and I even had a jump ready just in case. Anyone have any other clues?

Thanks,
Jason

I will try that, but I really hope it is not that easy to defeat.

Thanks

security lock-out

I have the same problem - I haven't used the key to enter the car for some time, because it hasn't worked for years; today (a very wet day) i went to unlock my doors with the key-pad, and the numbers were not working (no beeps or lights). I couldn't get in the car. I had to get a tow-man to jimmy it open. When the lock was pulled open, the security alarm was activated. This could not be disabled, and subsequently it is impossible to start the car. I don't have CAA and the nearest Nissan dealer is 120 miles away (expensive tow). We're poor. I checked all fuses - no help there. Have you figured your probleem out?? Thank you
