dissapointed in track times, please help

I went yesterday and it was about 60 degrees. I have a VE with Intake,UDP,Y-pipe,Test Pipe,2 and 1/4 catback and advanced timing. My low end is so bad that it is killing my times. I ran a 16.37@87.09 and 16.43@86.89. Shouldnt my car be pulling better times than this or did I just get ****ed with something. I was working on my car like 2 weeks ago and I pulled the 55 code witch is nothing wrong. So im confused. Any help would be appreciated or if that is about average i guess it is. it just seems my traps should be in the 15 range. anyways thanks for the help.

No i havent done that yet, DOes it really make that big of a difference and if yes, How do you do it?? is it the thing where you replace it with a 470k ohm resistor, or something different?

SOrry. I have an auto so i know thats a disadvantage. I dont think my VTC's are bad because if they were, wouldnt something show up when i pulled codes?? I will double check them the next time i can but i think they are ok

my cars still way faster than that with my vtcs grounded and im almost positive that the vtcs wont throw a code and your right about the 470k resiter just unplug you knock sensor and put it in place of the knock sensor plug and you should notice a Huge increase in power if indeed your ks is bad i did and when i dyno my car im going to do it with and without it bypassed im guessing as much as 20hp diference much more the grounded vtcs witch i think is 12hp

i thought that grounding the VTC's lost 12 hp?? or is that what you meant, i didnt really understand it. anyways i guess tomorrow i will try the KS mod and see how it does. but would that be the reason for my low end being so bad. it is really bad untill i get about 2800 and then my mods kick in for the high end but i wish my low end wads better. whata think?

sorry i wasnt very clear i mean with the vtcs grounded you lose 12hp but if your vtcs arnt ticking or if they are and your not annoyed by the noise dont ground them just bypass the knock sensor
