headlights gone crazy
headlights gone crazy
Lately when my headlights are on, i'll start to hear a clicking noise and my headlights will flick on and off, one at a time, and the brightness will go on and off.
Sometimes only one headlight will come on, and the other will come on if i wiggle and jiggle the light switch around, but even that is inconsistent. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your headlight switch is bad. There is nothing wrong with your bulbs. You need to replace your turnsignal/headlight switch. Just make sure you get the right one. If you have a 89-91 or 92-94 make sure you get the proper one, they are different. Either will work with the other but if you have a 92+ and put in a 89-91 switch you will not have any side marker lights when you put the turnsignal on.

I had the exact problem that you are having and I didn't know that there was a difference between 3rd gen switches until I picked up one from Ebay and found out that my 92 had an extra plug that the one from an 89 didn't have. The big plug is the same regardless, the small plug (only on 92-94) is for the side marker light. I think I have an extra one sitting around that works that I am not using. Email me if you want to talk deal.
